"But then it wouldn’t be as special in December!”
“True- they’re just so beautiful!”
“What do I do for episode 1 of this year’s December series? Ep. 1 each year is a little different, last year was at Disney!!”

“Yes Disneyland is so great too!”
“I’m sure he’d love the one in Florida”

“Yeah, you should go to Bryant Park, there’s ice skating and little shops and food”
“I need to check out what they have this year - we went in 2023 after missing the Rockerfeller tree lighting…”

Hi everyone, welcome to Season 3 of my December Series!
If you’re new here (thank you), the December Series is a project I started 2 years ago, to celebrate the end of each year. I believe no matter how your year went, it’s important to acknowledge the accomplishment of ending one year and entering another.
Everything in December is built around joy - from the Christmas lights, to the hot chocolate in Christmas Markets, to spending time with your loved ones. On a personal note, Christmas is very special because it’s when Jesus came to be, and there’s such a powerful significance of that because to me, he represents life and all it should be.
December is also very much a period of reflection - if you recall from the previous seasons, I tend to ask a lot of people questions pertaining to Christmas and highlights of their year. With the prompts I chose this year, I think one thing that particularly stands out is they’re all in some way, tied to reflection. I’ll give a hint, which, if you’ve been following this series over the years would come as no surprise: Lesson of the Year will be one of the prompts. It almost feels like a rule at this point. I’m always so touched about the responses I get every year, it’s hard to let go of that prompt!
Anyways, I managed to squeeze everything into 4 episodes this year. Stay tuned for a new one every Friday this month!!
In the meantime, see the past December episodes here.
Until the next one
