S.3, Ep. 4: What was your lesson of the year?

Be brave.

- Dedeé

Your state of mind determines not only your outlook in life but how you behave, how you act, how you talk. Making sure your mind is in the right spot will dictate everything. Get your mind right, get your body right, get your life right.

- Chad

I learned I have more love in my life than I realize.

- Victoria

Definitely feeling more content with my life. I’m not going to be happy all the time, or sad all the time, I just have to be content.

- Ashley

A lesson I learned is that in business, sometimes you might have to be ruthless and it's okay to be a villain in someone else's eyes

- George

Always trust the process.

- Jacob

There’s nothing you can’t do if you put your mind to it.

- Tofunmi

Lesson of the year - If God made a way then, he’ll make a way now! Moving from Seattle to New York is probably one of bigger adjustments I’ve made in my life. I didn’t know how it would all work out but I took the risk anyway and it’s been an incredible journey. I’ve learned so much about myself, my interests, and reflected on who I want to become. As I think of the next 5 years, I have peace in knowing that I may not know exactly where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing, but I know that if I take a step forward toward my desires,  God always makes a path far more beautiful than I can imagine!

- Solyana

Be honest and grateful!

- Raphael

Be kind.

- Martin

My lesson is about letting go, and letting myself melt and shed, or like a phoenix, rising from ashes, one of transformation. Transformation through release. Detaching from tethers that hold us back.

- Maya

Comparison is the thief of joy. You can create your own happiness by being on your own timeline.

- Nyah

Less is more, don’t be afraid to fail, and be thankful for everything. Seek support from others, allow yourself to grieve fully and carry them in your heart where ever you go!

- Kevin

Failure is not a reason to lose hope, rather it builds perseverance, which is required for success.

- Andre

Make more art, more often, and make intentional space for creativity and rest!

- Ayo

Dreams are meant to be followed, they’re just goals that haven’t been actioned yet.

- Sinachi

It’s okay to set boundaries and prioritize myself.

- Dani

Try. Always Try. If you try and it doesn’t work out, at least you’ll know what not to do next time. Or perhaps it just wasn’t meant to be, which is great because God will always have the best plan.

- Chioma

Thank you all so much, wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season and a beautiful New Year.

Until the 2026 ones
